In May of 1999, Union Pacific 844 and 3985 doubleheaded a special passenger train from Cheyenne, WY to Roseville, CA to participate in Railfair 99, and the dedication of the newly rebuilt Roseville yard. This tape presents the entire six day journey from Cheyenne, through Rock Springs, Ogden, Elko, Winnemucca, and Sparks, Reno, Truckee, over Donner Pass to Roseville. In June the locos moved from Roseville to the California State Railroad Museum at Sacramento. A special bonus section shows the newly restored SP 2467 Pacific and SP5326 GP9 in Black Widow colors moving from the Bay Area to Sacramento, and into the Museum grounds for Railfair. This is a must have program for fans of UP and SP steam. 135 Minutes. |
