One of the most famous locomotives was the Big Boy. At over 1 millions pounds, these monsters pulled heavy freights between Wyoming and points west until the 1950's. There are several Big Boys preserved in museums in case you're lucky enough to see one. Imagine what it must have been like to see and hear such power! |
