We set out in the early 1970s to capture the sounds of Nathan and Leslie horns that were on first and second generation diesels of the SP, WP, Central California Traction and UP. We went to echo chambers high in the Sierra's as well as along double-track speedways of the SP. We were treated to several meets, true whistle artists and more. Enjoy the sounds of Nathan M5 and P5's, Leslie S3 and S5's, most of which cannot be duplicated today. |
