Memories of the LTV (VHS and DVD)
Return To Previous Page | Categorized Master Video Index
Join C. Vision as we head to the desolate lands of Lake Superior's northern
shores to bring you the often overlooked, but amazingly time preserved
operation of LTV Mining Company. LTV has been known for its stable of F-9
locomotives, as they toil ore loads from Hoyt Lakes to the docks at Taconite
Harbor, Minnesota. In the tape you will see a variety of action, from the
mining and loading of raw iron ore, to various runbys of the F-units and a
variety of other motive power. Prior to LTV's shutdown, C. Vision cameras
were there to capture 9 different road trains, documented from 1998 to 2000
and include GP-38's as well as the famous "6 pack" lashups of A-B-B-B-B-A
covered wagons. All this adds up to one great hour of LTV Memories!
