This video is a nice companion to the CP's Kicking Horse Pass video since you see on-board coverage from Field to
Lake Louise. Our new SD40-2F wide cab unit, #9020 is the lead diesel on our 3-unit freight eastbound. We watch the
train arrive at Field, the crews changed, and off we go inside the cab up the famous Kicking Horse Pass.
Most views are straight ahead through the front of the cab as you enjoy the line and pass through both Spiral Tunnels, where
you see the rock walls of the inside of the tunnels. There is a bit of drama as one unit dies just as we exit the
upper Spiral Tunnel, and we have to make an unscheduled stop.Also we get a brief explanation of the controls by the
engineer, and pass a westbound freight in the siding at Divide as we conquer the Summit before going downgrade into
Lake Louise Station. The video ends as 9020 leads the train out of Lake Louise. DVD Format.
