We begin in Cheyenne as 8444 has received its original number 844 (a UP
diesel was retired with 844) and is set for a July 1989 outing. The 844 was
requested to host the opening of the new Dispatch Center in Omaha and pull
the UP Board of Directors on a dinner train. The coaches are already there,
so 844 pulls regular freight trains 500 miles to Omaha and back, pulling 4

Washington State's Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad is the location of this
presentation which features the two rarest types of geared steam
locomotives. Heisler #90, a 90-ton, 3-truck locomotive built in 1930 is
joined by the newly restored Climax #10. The Climax is ex-Hillcrest Lumber
Co. which operated on Vancouver Island, and was the last standard gauge
Climax locomotive ever built. Scenes show the now unused line to Morton,
