Norfolk Southern on Lynchburg's Trestles.

Norfolk Southern in and around Lynchburg, Virginia, on the famous trestles in 1992. Possum Creek, the massive James River, curved Beaver Creek, Campbell Avenue, Cotton Mill, the L&D and Harris Creek all make an appearance, together with all kinds of NS power. Our first experience of the South and Kudzu. 1 Hour.

Ohio Central

Where else can you find a GP30/ox-yoke GP10 lashup ambling through bucolic countryside? Or chase top and tailed coal trains with SD40-2's, squeaky clean in their attractive maroon, gray and yellow paint? Ohio Central has to be one of the most attractive regionals around, with a wild variety of power. We spent some time chasing the OC in May, 2005, Zanesville, Columbus, Newark, Coshocton, coal trains and locals in the Ohio countryside. 90 minutes.

Powder River - The Orin Line

Staggering, continuous coal train action on BNSF's Orin line in the Powder River coal basin. UP shares the line, and there is a continous parade of trains. Lots of meets, a couple of side by sides, and 8 (yes, eight) trains in one shot, and even a broken knuckle. Some nice storm light and some nice sunset shots, this is one amazingly busy place. 2 Hours.
  $35.95

Rails Around Houston

Houston, Texas is a hot bed of UP and BNSF activity with lots of chemical traffic. Houston is also home to the Port Termainal RR, with unique blue and silver MK1500s. We taped at lots of Houston hot spots to give you a good idea of the action. Belt Junction, Settegast, Eureka, Tower 26, Tower 87, Rosenberg, Galveston, Arcola, Alvin, Englewood, Spring and the PTRA's North Yard. 105 Minutes.
  $35.95

Rails Around Mount Shasta

Check out UP's line between Redding, California and Klamath Falls, with lots of BNSF diversion traffic. In addition the big boys, we see California, Oregon & Pacific at Black Butte, and the McCloud River steam excursion. High Tech diesels whining up and down the Sacramento River Canyon and through the Shasta National Forest. 90 Minutes.
  $29.95

Rails To The Kenai

Ride the Alaska railroad from Anchorage to Seward, with a side trip to Whittier. You'll see the scenery of the Turnagain Arm, glaciers, the longest road (and rail) tunnel in North America, all from the train, moose, and of course the trains in the stunning scenery. At Seward, you'll take a boat ride to see the Kenai Fjords National Park and it's glaciers and wild life, take a plane ride to see brown bear fishing for salmon, and take an up close and personal look at the Exit Glacier. Full musical accompaniment, and narration to tell you the history of the area and the Alaska Railroad. Taped in July, 2004, with the full cooperation of the Alaska Railroad. 90 Minutes.
  $19.95

Railway Panorama #4 Alco’s At Work

Another tape from Rowlingstock productions of Australia, we take a look at Alco (actually MLW) diesels in action in New South Wales, Australia on both passenger and freight trains. Older segments are from 8mm film, some 16mm film and some Betacam. Includes the 44 class that look like PA’s, signal box interiors, multiple unit consists and helpers in the Great Dividing Range and the Blue Mountains. One Hour.
  $29.95

Sand Hills Sub

BNSF’s Sand Hills Sub of the Powder River Division runes east from Alliance, Nebraska. We follow the line through the scsenic sand hills in March, 2004 from east Alliance to near Thedford. Lots of SD70MAC’s on coal train, plus some new AC44’s and dash 9’s. 90 Minutes.
  $24.95

Sand Patch Weekend

Still one of my favorite tapes and locations. Shot over the Memorial Day weekend of 1992, we caught trains at most of the famous locations, meets at the tunnel, a long valiant struggle up grade with the train finally stalling lots of different power from elderly B23's to new C40-BW's, GP4O's to SD50's. Lot's of different paint, from B&O blue to Chessie to Stealth and Bright Future. Sand Patch was everything we expected and more. 2 Hours
  $29.95

Santa fe Across Arizona

The Santa Fe, pre merger, in 1994. Lots of warbonnets speeding across the desert, from Topock on the California border to the New Mexico border. Highlights include a glorious early morning in the snow at Williams Junction and a meet in dirty weather on the plateau above Kingman. We got snowed on, hailed on, and roasted. Our first view of the Santa Fe. 2 Hours.
  $29.95

Sherman Hill

Sherman Hill, UP's crossing of the Continental Divide in Wyoming is one of the greatest shows in railroading. We braved thunderstorms, hail, torrential rail and even sunshine to bring you all the excitement of big time railroading. We hiked in to Hermosa Tunnel and Dale, found our way in to Sherman Summit and covered the line from Cheyenne to Laramie. Taped in July, 1995. 2 Hours.
  $29.95

St Lawrence and Atlantic

One of the bright spots of New EngIand railroading, the St. L & A runs from Danville Junction ME to Island Pond VT. We chased up and down during the winter of 1991-2 braving snow, ice and some bitter cold to bring you some splendid footage. In addition to ex CV GP9's, GATX MP15's and GP4O's we see CN GP4OL's in the splendid winter scenery of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. 80 Minutes.
  $24.95

Stacks and Semaphores

SP's, now UP's Tucumcari line, one of the few places left that you can find any concentration of Style B lower quadrant semaphore signals. I concentrated on the area around Coyote, Carrizozo and Polly, where most of the signals are, catching then going up ano down. This was taken just after the merger, there is not too much sign of UP yet. One of my Favorites. 80 Minutes.
  $29.95

Supercab

In Supercab we take an in depth look at the development of the Supercab locomotive, from the industry standard SD40-2 and C30-7 locomotives of the '70s, the GP40-2 "Canadian" cab that started it, to the SD60M & C40-8W, the first US Supercabs, through the high tech SD90MAC and AC6000CW of today. One Hour.

  $24.95

Superfleet and Sagebrush

(BNSF on the Seligman Sub) Warbonnets still rule on the Seligman Sub. Sure, the mergers shows, but there are still lots of units wearing one of the best looking paint schemes ever. The new 700 series GE's are out in force, looking superb in the beautiful winter sunshine. There is some new "Heritage" paint around, and not only on C44's! There are some solid sets of Cascade Green, but not a lot of blue and yellow. This is impressive, heavy duty main line railroading at its best, with howling, high speed double stacks, and roaring manifests dragging up-grade. We cover the line from Needles, CA to Winslow, AZ, including the big bridge at Topock, the Sacramento Wash, Kingman Canyon, Crozier Canyon, Seligman, the Crookton line relocation, Williams Junction, Supai Summit, Maine, Darling, Canyon Diablo, Sunshine and lots more. 2 Hours.
  $35.95

Sydney's Colorful Trains

The trains of Sydney, Australia. We first take a look at Enfield Yard and the locomotive facility. Next is a visit to the Botany Goods Line, followed by an interlude at Sandown, where Freight Australia units take a tank train out, we get a brief ride on a T class switcher, and a pair of ancient Alco's, one a PA look alike, start up and drag their intermodal away. Sydney has a high density suburban service, and we also take a look at the light rail and the monorail. Next it's off to Cowan for a freight and a work train, and finally we visit the Hunter Valley for high density coal train drags with Class 90's and elderly dmu's. We also see the Indian Pacific and XPT passenger trains. Lots of action and color. 1 hour 45 minutes.
  $35.95

The Best of Conrail

You'll see our favorite shots from "Winter On the B&A" and "Conrail's River Line" plus footage from Amsterdam, Lackawanna, CP DRAW, Tifft Street, Frontier Yard, Allentown, and Cresson, plus run through on ST and NS. 2 Hours.
  $29.95

The Green Mountain

The Green Mountain runs through scenic Vermont farm country on former Rutland tracks, using the last Rutland locomotive, an Alco RS 1 on passenger trains in the summer. We see the passenger trains and freight trains of the GMRR from trackside and in the cab. Green GP9's, a black ex NS GP9 and a red Vermont RR geep in summer, fall and winter. 80 Minutes.
  $29.95

The Iron Road To The Isles

Join us for a magical journey through the highlands of Scotland aboard the Jacobite steam train, on the famed West Highland Line from Fort William to Mallaig. You'll see the train in the magnificent highland scenery, the lochs and the glens and the curved viaduct at Glenfinnan (Harry Potter movie train scenes were filmed on the West Highland Line, the viaduct appears in the flying car scene.) Full musical score written especially for this program, and the narration tells of the often bloody history of the region, and about Bonnie Prince Charlies uprising. Bonus feature - ride the ferry over the sea to Skye, and take a scenic tour of this beautiful island. 76 Minutes.
   $19.95

The New England Central

New England's newest. We chased the southbound job south out of Palmer the weekend after startup, in February 1995, then again a couple of weeks later in some fairly brisk weather. We chased the northbound job out of Brattleboro in December and January, the latter being somewhat frigid at 20 below, but it made for some excellent photographic conditions. NEC's blue and orange units look great in the snow, and there are some earlier scenes of CV to show how it was. 75 Minutes.
   $29.95

The Pokey

(Norfolk Southern's Pocohontas Subdivision) Taped in the spring of 1997 when the new widecab GE's were out and about in force, both on the point and as helpers. This is coal country, and we caught lots of heavy coal drags twisting through the narrow valleys and bIasting up the grades and through the tunnels that make up this highly scenic route. NS still uses cabooses for back up moves on the mine runs, I was surprised to find them backing up for 15 or 20 miles. Imagine a new C40-9W on one end and a caboose on the other. Also caught a coal train at War Eagle being run around by half a dozen trains. A great show and another of my favorites. 2 Hours.
  $35.95

Thunder in the Wasatch

SP action on Soldier Summit, from the Price River Canyon to the Gilluly Loops. Spectacular scenery, with snow covered mountains in the background. This is helper country, we had one set of 5 Rio Grande tunnel motors! Lots of action, from tunnel motors to brand new AC's, 6 trains in 15 minutes at Colton, and multiple trains on Gilluly. This is one awesome place and one tape you won't want to miss. 2 Hours.
  $34.95

Tifft Street Afternoon

The famous Tifft Street Bridge in Buffalo NY, now sadly rebuilt with wire screens. We saw 40+ trains throughout the afternoon sometimes these were so many trains we didn't know which way to run. Conrail, CSX, NS, GATX, BN, UP, B&P and South Buffalo all make an appearance, lost of variety and lots of action. 60 Minutes.
