ALASKAN MEMORIES
Near Hurricane Gulch, Denali National Park, Alaska
Here we have an Alaskan Railway tourist passenger train at the base of Mount McKinley in the Denali National Park near
Hurricane Gulch, south of the park. The train is interesting in that it has the cars for the tourists on the princess
line as well as the McKinley explorer which is a charter car, chartered out by another party. That is aurora borealis
in the Northern sky and even a shooting star! Also interesting is that Robert did this when Mike's Train House put
out their F7's which were very popular and sold out fairly quickly. Sometimes Robert does a print which is not only
popular with railfans, but also with modelers, as this one has been. Robert believes this is the first print by any
artist with Alaska Railroad F7's.
