CAROLING MEMORIES
The Champion
This is a view of one of the Atlantic Coastline Champions coming through the Carolina's. This is in late December, another
snowless Christmas season in the Carolinas. That's why Robert decided to title this print Caroling Memories. (Maybe it should
have been "Carolina Memories?). Once again, Robert can never seem to do enough Champions due to the fact that Robert's
grandfather was a Pullman Porter. This Champion is different from the others in that the motive power on it are E-7's versus
the standard E-6's usually portrayed. The view of this is around 1959 to the early 1960's when the purple, silver and yellow
paint scheme was still employed by the Atlantic Coastline Railroad.
