RACE TO THE SUMMIT
This is a unique work from Robert featuring this is a 1955 Peterbuilt truck on US highway 2 running parallel to the Great Northern
mainline. The scene features the GN Empire Builder in the background at the summit of Marias pass in Glacier National Park. The
Great Northern, like many railroads in the 1950's had their own fleet of trucks that would pick up and deliver freight from their
customers, transport it to the railyard where the trailers were then put on piggyback cars.
