THE GENERALS
The General of Civil War fame near Stone Mountain, Georgia
This is the General Locomotive is an American type of steam locomotive used in the civil war on the side of the Confederacy,
here pictured at the base of the confederate war memorial carved in Stone Mountain, in Stone Mountain Georgia, just outside
of Atlanta. The General is pulling a train in with the Confederate battle flag flying in the candlesticks of the locomotive.
Robert thought that it would be a novel idea to place the famous General locomotive pulling a train perfectly beneath the busts
of General Stonewall Jackson, General Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America. The
General played such a strategic role in the War Between the States, carry troops back and for the between Atlanta, Chattanooga,
and Nashville. So, this would be a composite type of drawing and maybe someday life will imitate art and we will find the General
circling the base of Stone Mountain. That would certainly create a very unique moment in history, and it would be possible since
the General is in running condition, although stored at the confederate war memorial museum in Kennesaw, Georgia. In the foreground,
you see a field of Confederate yellow daisies. It is significant to note that these daisies only bloom in September in the Stone
Mountain, Georgia area.
