Richard K. Wright
March 17, 1937 - January 29, 2013
Richard was born in Burlington, VT to Richard & Vera Wright. He passed away at home at the age of 75. He graduated from Santa Monica High School in CA. His passion for trains started at a young age and continued throughout his life. He served in the US Air Force 92nd Bomb Wing Sac out of Fairchild AFB, WA. When he returned to civilian life he went back to his passion for trains where he opened a hobbie store and produced H.O. passenger trains and began his first book on the Coast Daylight train 98-99, published in 1970 with 4 others to follow. Moved to Sparks in 1977 after passing through on a train. Where he worked in the casino industry until retiring in 1987. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna 1997, and his parents & sister Nancy. He is survived by his sons, David, Richard Jr., and Steven, brother Robert & his family. Richard always said, "I've accomplished everything I set out to do." Rest in peace. No funeral will be held.
